Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment is from Moday, October 19th, through Friday, November 6th.
Elections are effective on January 1, 2027, with the first deductions being taken in December 2026.
Enrollment is strongly encouraged for both medical and voluntary benefits.
Medical:
- All SHBP options will have an increase in monthly premiums. Access the 2027 SHBP premiums in the SHBP Decision Guide or in the Open Enrollment Guide.
- The pharmacy benefits manager is changing to Express Scripts, part of Evernorth Health Services, effective January 1. More information is available here: express-scripts.com/shbp.
- The well-being incentive points have a slight update for 2027; points will be increased for preventive screenings and coaching.
If you intend to add dependents to your health plan, ADP will reach out to request the necessary verification documents. They will provide a personalized fax cover sheet with a bar code that must accompany your submission. If you do not receive this request, please contact SHBP at (800) 610-1863 to have it sent. Your dependents will not be covered until the required documentation has been approved.
Non-Medical Voluntary:
- Dental: A new dental plan, Simple Dental, will be offered for 2027. Simple Dental will replace the existing dental plan.
- No changes to premiums or coverage for vision, life insurance, disability, critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, legal, identity theft, and air ambulance plans.
